Curriculum & Structure
A rigorous, full-time doctoral program designed to produce publishing researchers and effective educators.
Econometrics, advanced statistics, and quantitative methods form the methodological backbone for sophisticated empirical research.
Advanced accounting seminars build deep domain expertise while developing students’ ability to engage with current theory and research.
Written and oral exams assess mastery of accounting theory and methods before advancement to candidacy.
Students work one-on-one with an advisor to develop original research with committee guidance through proposal, execution, and defense.
Students gain teaching experience as instructor of record in undergraduate accounting courses, building classroom skills under faculty mentorship.
Students present research at major academic conferences, such as the American Accounting Association, build professional networks, and refine work through peer feedback.
