Online Team Registration
The UTEP Robotics Program is an Affiliate Partner with FIRST® and partners with FIRST In Texas (FIT) to bring more convenience to teams to register and pay for registration fees associated with our events and leagues across the state and specifically the El Paso region.
Attention FLL Explore and FLL Challenge Teams: Once your team pays the national registration fee to FIRST, request a quote for the local UTEP Championship registration fee. You will have the option to pay by check or purchase orders (PO) and make payment before and on the day of the event. Checks can be made payable to: UTEP College of Engineering, Robotics Program and can be mailed to:

Attention FTC Teams: Once your team registers nationally with FIRST (have a regular team number) and registers with FIRST In Texas (FIT) – West Area/Region - you can make payment through this website: https://store.firstintexas.org/first-tech-challenge-registration/
Apply for Grants and read Important Things and GRANT PAYMENTS to make sure you are ready to go before the league starts.
Pre-Boarding: We are now offering a Pre-Boarding registration process to expedite the collection of necessary documents with all teams. More importantly, it will allow us to enter information into the official scoring system prior to the day of the event. Pre-Boarding involves two steps.
STEP 1: Complete UTEP Forms (see below) for all coaches and team members
STEP 2: Email all forms to Engrfrontdesk4@utep.edu. Remember the following when submitting.
- Create one single PDF Document
- Your PDF file name should follow this format: ####_TeamName.pdf
- Email to Engrfrontdesk4@utep.edu
STEP 3: Complete the UTEP Robotics Online Team Registration
UTEP Forms:
- For Coaches, Mentors and Volunteers: Adult Release and Indemnification Agreement and Photo Release
- For Student Participants: Minor Release and Indemnification Agreement and Photo Release
