Provost Faculty Fellows
The Provost Faculty Fellows Program is an initiative to increase faculty involvement and expertise in key university frameworks while simultaneously providing those selected with positive development, leadership, and networking opportunities. Making use of an asset-based approach, this initiative maximizes local resources and expands the collective impact of the University mission.

UT Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Awards (ROTA)
Since 2008, the University of Texas System Board of Regents has annually recognized exemplary educators from every UT institution with a Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award. The awards honor extraordinary classroom performance and innovation in undergraduate instruction.

May 6, 2022 | Nomination packets due. Nomination packets are sent to each Dean's office for review. |
May 16, 2022 | Top four selections due from each Dean. Nomination packets are sent to the Review Committee. |
May 24, 2022 | Review Committee recommends top four applicants across the university. Applicants are notified of selection and receive coaching on application. |
June 13, 2022 | Complete application packets due to the Provost’s Office for additional review. Recommended top two applicants approved by the Provost by June 17. |
June 17, 2022 | Top two applicants notified with time to further revise packet due June 27 |
June 29, 2022 | Applications submitted to UT System. |

About the Award and Nomination Process
Minnie Stevens Piper Professor Award
The Minnie Stevens Piper Professor Award is made possible by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation, and offers faculty members the opportunity to receive $5,000 for superior teaching at the college level. The foundation distributes ten awards to professors from Texas colleges and universities.

About the Award and Nomination Process
President's Meritorious Faculty Service Awards
This award honors a faculty member who has performed outstanding institutional service to students, colleagues, and/or other University stakeholders, transcending job expectations. Faculty members who have completed, upon nomination, at least seven years of service in a faculty role at UTEP are eligible. The award is accompanied by a $1000 cash prize and a commemorative plaque. Nominations for the 2021-2022 award are due by May 6, 2022.
