Office of Study Abroad
The mission of the Study Abroad Office at The University of Texas at El Paso is to provide quality international educational opportunities, which will contribute to the college and career success of UTEP students and enhance UTEP’s global presence.
For UTEP Students - The Office of Study Abroad cultivates international education opportunities that enhance UTEP MINERS' global competence and foster a commitment to, multiculturalism, diversity, and integrity.
For Incoming Exchange Students - The application begins with the nomination by your study abroad advisor or coordinator. UTEP will accept applications only from students coming from universities that have active exchange agreement with UTEP and/or CONAHEC.
For Faculty - Study abroad/away programs, in particular Faculty Led Programs, provide rewarding opportunities where faculty engage with students outside of a traditional classroom. The experiences are transformation for students and faculty. Faculty Led Programs are offered during the winter and spring break and summer terms.
For Families - The Study Abroad Office encourages parents and families to support their student’s international experience in ways that are unique to your relationship. The Office of Study Abroad follows Texas’ policy regarding communicating with parents under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). While the Study Abroad Office is happy to answer questions from parents, in many cases we are not able to share information due to FERPA regulations.
