We will be hosting these sessions throughout the year to help students recharge. And we start off with CAPS-To-Go which is a repository of online resources to help you destress, relax and refocus!

About: This is the last session of 3-part interactive workshop series that Target recruiters are hosting and is intended to help you prepare to land the interview and the job in this virtual landscape. This session will discuss:

Charles Schwab Campus Talks: What is it Like to Work at Schwab? A Conversation with LatinX Community Advocates
Date: October 29th, 2020; 3:30 – 5 p.m.
About: Schwab Campus Talks is a virtual series of educational discussions, which will include employees from various lines of business, backgrounds, and expertise who will focus on specific topics in the finance industry. These discussions are meant to be both informational and engaging, so we encourage you to ask questions and to converse with our speakers.
PwC Virtual Challenge Case Competition
Date: Kickoff: October 30; Event date: November 16
About: Challenge is an opportunity for students to experience real-world decision making and teaming, while also gaining exposure to business professionals and leaders in the marketplace. Participating in Challenge is the first opportunity for many students to learn more about future programs, internships, and full-time roles for which they may be eligible at PwC. Student participants will:
- Work in teams to solve real-world, relevant problems facing today’s business world
- Receive real time feedback from business professionals
- Improve overall professionalism, through honing their communication and presentation skills
- Establish a network of relationships within the world’s leading professional services firm
- Build their resume to differentiate themselves from their peers and position them for future job opportunities
Who can participate?
Teams must include 4 to 5 people and must be comprised of:
- Freshmen, sophomores & juniors (in a 5-year program)
- At least 2 members in, or who have applied to/are in the process of, applying to the business school.
Career Readiness Workshops and EventsEvery semester, the College of Business Administration holds professional development workshops on everything from preparing your resume to negotiating a job offer. COBA staff and faculty members as well as employers present many of these workshops. <p">Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, all professional development events will be hosted virtually with an emphasis on preparing yourself to seek, find, and succeed in a virtual professional environment.
This fall the College of Business Administration will host Virtual Mock Interviews between Monday, October 5th through Thursday, October 8th. Mock interviews are an excellent opportunity for students to practice their interviewing skills with employers and then receive feedback on their performance. This year, Dell, Helen of Troy, Prudential, Texas Instruments, and Wells Fargo are all participating.
To be eligible to participate in mock interviews, you must attend at least one of the professional development workshops listed below over the coming weeks. While only one workshop is required for you to be eligible to participate in mock interviews, you are welcome to attend any or all workshops.
