Lockheed Martin Awards UTEP Engineering $489,000

The College of Engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso has been awarded a $489,000 contract from Lockheed Martin-Aeronautics to support Lockheed Martin’s Air System Design and Integration and the Advanced Development Projects Directorates programs.

Administered by the Research Institute for Manufacturing and Engineering Systems (RIMES), the contract will support UTEP engineering faculty, graduate students and professional staff in metallurgical and materials engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering and the W. M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation.

Dr. Ricardo Pineda, Director of RIMES and Systems Engineering Program Director, is the principal investigator.
