Student Code of Conduct
KidZ on Campus Behavior Expectations
At Professional and Public Programs' Youth Programs and Camps, we strive to create a positive, safe, and respectful environment where every camper can learn, grow, and have fun.
We expect all campers to:
- Always act respectfully and responsibly.
- Treat others with kindness, fairness, and respect.
- Behave in a mature way that supports a welcoming camp community.
If a camper ever feels they are being treated unfairly or need help resolving a situation with another student, we encourage them to speak with their instructor or any Professional and Public Programs staff member right away.
Behavior Policy
If a camper has difficulty meeting these expectations, we will take the following steps as behavior concerns progress. Please note that camp fees are non-refundable if a camper is sent home for disciplinary reasons. If your child is registered for additional weeks and has not yet attended them, those future sessions will be refunded.
Progressive Steps for Behavior Management
- Verbal Warning and Redirection
- The instructor or student assistant will redirect the camper to more appropriate behavior and issue a verbal warning.
- Incident Report and Parent Notification
- If inappropriate behavior continues, the student assistant and/or instructor will submit an incident report to the Program Coordinator.
- The Lead Student Assistant or Program Coordinator will contact the parent(s)/guardian(s) by phone to discuss the situation.
- Second Incident Report and Parent Meeting
- If behavior issues persist and continue to affect the experience of other campers, a second incident report will be filed.
- The Program Manager and Program Coordinator will meet in person with the camper and their parent(s)/guardian(s) to discuss the behavior and consequences.
- A follow-up email will be sent to the parent(s)/guardian(s) as written notification, warning that a third incident report will result in dismissal.
- Dismissal from Camp
- If a camper continues to exhibit inappropriate behavior after previous interventions and accumulates three incident reports, the camper will be dismissed from the current camp session and removed from all Professional and Public Programs youth program enrollments for that term.
- Depending on the severity or frequency of incidents, the camper may also be prohibited from participating in future Professional and Public Programs youth programs or camps.
Examples of Inappropriate Behavior
- Using profanity, vulgarity or obscenity
- Stealing or damaging property (personal or camp property)
- Refusal to participate in activities or cooperate with staff
- Disrupting a program
- Leaving a program without permission
- Endangering the health and safety of children and/or staff
- Teasing, making fun or bullying of other campers and/or staff
SPECIAL NOTE: Physical violence or bullying toward another camper and/or staff member will result in immediate dismissal from the camp program.
