Planned System Outage
The University of Texas at El Paso’s Office of Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) has scheduled a temporary outage that will affect three of its applications – Parking Citations, Parking Citation Appeals, and Parking Permits – starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022. The goal is to have all systems back up by 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
This project’s objective is to upgrade the PTS systems to provide UTEP students and employees with the best service possible.

Miner Metro Announcement
The University of Texas at El Paso’s Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) will provide Miner Metro Shuttle Service to the West (Orange) and Campbell (Red) routes during Summer I (June 6-July 1) and II (July 5-Aug. 2) sessions.
The West (Orange) route will run from Miner Canyon residential housing on the north end of campus to Miner Alley, located behind the Sun Bowl Parking Garage. It will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 3:49 p.m. Monday through Friday at 20-minute intervals if traffic allows.
The Campbell (Red) route will run from the Mike Loya Academic Services Building on Schuster Avenue on the south end of campus to the Campbell Building, 1101 N. Campbell St. It will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 15-minute intervals if traffic allows.
PTS has collaborated with Passio to provide the live GPS tracking of their routes at https://utep.passiogo.com or on the Passio Go phone application or on the UTEP interactive map at https://www.utep.edu/map on the transit tab.
Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) at The University of Texas at El Paso announced that the Miner Metro Shuttle Service would operate the Orange and Campbell routes only to start the fall 2021 semester due to a lack of qualified drivers.
The West (Orange) route runs from Miner Canyon residential housing on the north end of campus to Miner Alley, located behind the Sun Bowl Parking Garage. The Campbell (Red) route serves those who travel between the Mike Loya Academic Services Building on the south end of campus and the Campbell Building, 1101 N. Campbell St.
West (Orange) will run non-stop from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and should operate on 20-minute intervals if traffic allows. The Campbell (Red) will run non stop from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Decisions were based on past ridership numbers. The office will bring the additional routes online as more drivers are hired. PTS has partnered with Passio to provide the live GPS tracking of all of their routes at the following link, https://utep.passiogo.com or download the Passio go app on your phone.
Miner Metro is a form of public transportation that serves UTEP students, employees, and official visitors. As a result, the shuttles follow federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention mandates that riders must wear a face covering while aboard the shuttle with few health and age-related exceptions posted inside the shuttles.

Parking and Transportation Services Office is located at the Mike Loya Academic Services Building Rm 122 and is operating Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm.
