Parking Announcements
Spring 2024 Parking Permits- Parking & Transportation Services will available for telephone, Teams, and email communication on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 8a-1p and 2-5pm. Email parking@utep.edu or call 915-747-5724.
- Student permit sales will resume for the Spring 2024 semester on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 9am.
- New employees starting at UTEP in 2024 and seeking parking permits should follow the process outlined by Human Resources which starts with sending your offer letter to parking@utep.edu.
- Permit returns for graduating students and exiting employees can be completed online by logging into your MyParking Account and following the prompts under "Submit Forms" and "Permit Return."
Planned System Outage
The Parking Portal will experience an outage from 5pm on Friday, December 29, 2023 to 9am on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in preparation for student permit sales.

Miner Metro Shuttle Service Schedule
Miner Metro will not be in service during Spring Break. Miner Metro Shuttle route services will resume operations on Monday, March 18, 2024.
Alternate Parking Options
Until the Miner Metro Shuttle resumes service on March 18, cross parking will be allowed with ANY VALID UTEP parking permit in the following parking locations: Remote (Green) lots, Perimeter (Blue) lots, Silver lots, Sun Bowl Garage, and Schuster Garage.
Inner Campus access and parking will be allowed with ANY VALID UTEP parking permit after 3 p.m.
Paid visitor parking will be available at Hawthorne 1 (HA1) and the Sun Bowl Garage visitor section.
UTEP Miner Metro Spring 2024 Routes
The University of Texas at El Paso’s Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) will provide Miner Metro Shuttle Service to the West (Orange) and Campus Loop (Green) routes during the Spring Semester.
The West (Orange) route will run from Miner Canyon residential housing on the north end of campus to Miner Alley, located behind the Sun Bowl Parking Garage. It will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 7:14 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 20-minute intervals, as traffic allows. The last pick-up from Miner Alley will be at 7:05 p.m.
On Friday it will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 6:14 p.m. The last pick-up from Miner Alley will be at 6:05 p.m.
The Campus Loop (Green) route will run from Miner Alley to the Campbell Building, 1101 N. Campbell St., and will service Glory Road and Oregon St. stops. It will operate from 6:40 a.m. to 5:41 p.m. Monday through Friday at 31-minute intervals, as traffic allows. The last pick-up from the Campbell Building will be at 5:25 p.m.
PTS has collaborated with Passio to provide live GPS tracking of their routes at https://utep.passiogo.com, on the Passio Go phone application, or the UTEP interactive map at www.utep.edu/map on the transit tab.
