Planned System Outage
UTEP’s MyParking portal will experience a planned system outage to coincide with the university’s planned Spring semester outage of the Banner/Goldmine system for system upgrades. This outage starts Friday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m. and is slated to last until Wednesday, March 12 at 8:00 a.m.
- During this time, students, faculty, and staff will be unable to access the parking portal including permits, citations, appeals, or updating vehicle information.
- For questions or concerns, please email parking@utep.edu or call us at 915-747-5724. Our office at 3737 N. Mesa Ave, Suite A, is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Parking Office Move/Relocation

Parking Permit Sales for the 2024-25 Academic Year
All available parking permits are shown in the parking portal, which updates in real time. We encourage you to check back to this portal regularly for updates. Permits are sold year-round, and the allocated inventory is constantly changing, contingent on several factors, such as lot utilization, permit returns, and construction.
Faculty and staff parking permits are available for purchase on the parking portal.
- Faculty and staff seeking who do not have UTEP credentials issued to them must email a copy of their offer letter to parking@utep.edu to purchase a permit.
- All available permits are listed on the parking portal. If a specific permit is not listed, it is not currently available.
- Students with a current permit cannot see available permits, as the system only allows one permit per customer.
- The parking portal updates in real time. Check back regularly.
As a reminder, Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) does not receive funding from tuition, student fees, or state appropriations. PTS pays for all parking-related costs from revenue it generates from permit sales, citations, and visitor parking fees.
Permit Returns
Permit Return: Click here.
- By returning your permit, you are relinquishing your right to park at that location. A UTEP permit is required to park on UTEP property from 7:00am - 8:00pm, with the exception of pay by hour visitor lots. You cannot purchase a new permit until you receive confirmation that your permit return has been processed, NOT just submitted.
- A refund will be issued based on date of submission and the refund schedule.
- Additional information can be found on our FAQ: https://www.utep.edu/parking-and-transportation/faqs/
For any questions, concerns, or issues related to this outage, please contact PTS at parking@utep.edu or 915-747-5724.
