π Permit Sales Begin: August 12 at 9:00 AM (MST)
All students who plan to park on campus between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM must purchase a parking permit.

Grey | Evening | Valid after 4 PM | Remote, Perimeter, Silver, Garages |
Purple | Housing (MV/MH/MC) | Housing residents only | Lot-specific only |
Note: Only one vehicle may be parked on campus at a time per permit.
ποΈ Housing Resident Permits
- Only available to residents of Miner Village, Miner Heights, or Miner Canyon.
- Issued as Purple permits; valid only in assigned housing lot.
- Not valid in other zones unless an additional permit is purchased.
- Housing contract must be active before purchase.
π Key Rules to Know
- Permits are non-transferable.
- Only one vehicle per permit may be parked on campus at any time.
- Employees enrolled in classes may not purchase student permits.
- No student parking in Inner Campus 7 AMβ5 PM unless ADA-approved.
- Hangtags must go on the rearview mirror; adhesive permits on front windshield.
π Temporary Permits & Exceptions
- Forgot your permit? Email parking@utep.edu for a one-day pass or visit the East/West Gate.
- Rental/family vehicle? Temporarily add it to your account at parking.utep.edu.
βΏ ADA Parking & Accommodations
- Must display both a valid UTEP permit and a state-issued placard or plate registered to you.
- Submit documentation via the UTEP Parking Portal.

- Parking in ADA spaces without verified credentials
- Using housing lots without a Purple permit
- Parking in reserved, blocked, or coned spaces
