All UTEP employees whose primary position is faculty or staff (non-student employment positions) are provided with an @utep.edu email address. By policy that is the only acceptable email address to be used for UTEP business.

INFORMATION SECURITY POLICIES


• UTEP's system provides email, calendar, contacts, and more.
• Set up Microsoft Outlook on a computer to use advanced features.
• Access WebMail version from any browser with an Internet connection.
• Set up and sync email, calendar and contacts to your smartphone or tablet.

 


Getting Started


Faculty and staff email accounts are generated automatically once the hiring process is complete. Human Resources or the hiring department will give the employee their email address as soon as it is available. To set a login password or to obtain your account information contact the Technology Support Help Desk.


Web Browsers - MY.UTEP.EDU
Sign in with your UTEP username and password, then click on Webmail.

Microsoft Outlook - To set up Outlook on your UTEP computer, open the Outlook icon on your desktop and follow the instructions for automatic set up.

 


Mobile Devices


Faculty and staff can access their UTEP email, calendars and contacts from anywhere using their mobile devices.

Reset Your Password


By proactively setting your security questions, you can easily reset your password yourself in the case that you forget it. To set a login password or to obtain your account information contact Technology Support.
