Hunt Business Students Step Into Risk Careers

The Big Picture: Five students from the Prudential Risk Management Academy (PRMA) graduated this May, capping off another strong year of career outcomes.  

By the numbers: With an 80% full-time placement rate — up from 70% last year — graduates are stepping into roles at top firms like Prudential, HUB International, Liberty Mutual, and USI Insurance Services. 

One student will continue preparing for industry certifications as they pursue a career in financial services. 

Who’s going where: 

• Mariana Alderete joins Prudential in Newark, New Jersey, after completing both the company’s mentorship and internship programs through the Academy. 

• Samara Reynaga heads to HUB International as a Commercial Lines Account Manager — the third PRMA student hired by HUB in 2025 through connections built within the academy. 

• Diana Lara starts as an Actuarial Assistant at Liberty Mutual. She passed two key actuarial exams (P and FM) with PRMA support and guidance. 

• Ivana Mendez secures a full-time role at USI Insurance Services after connecting with the company through a PRMA-hosted networking event. 

• Miles Reavey continues preparing for actuarial and financial certifications as he explores opportunities in wealth management.
