Welcome to the first Graduate Business Newsletter.

The goal is simple: share what is happening across UTEP’s graduate business programs and introduce the people behind the work.

This issue reflects the range of that community. Ray Resendez has carried his military and Executive MBA experience into entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and service. Twenty-six MBA students spent spring break studying business in Tokyo. Sarah Robertson has taken the lead of the Master of Accountancy program as it prepares for its next chapter.

I also want to recognize Beatriz Lucero and Lorenie Orozco, members of the Graduate Business Center team and recipients of the 2026 Hunt Business Exemplary Staff Award. Their work supports students, faculty, and the daily operation of our graduate programs. This recognition is well deserved.
