End of Semester Best Practices
At the end of the semester, Blackboard Ultra makes final grading and course wrap-up efficient. Instructors can download Gradebook data, archive course content, and provide final feedback to students. It’s also an ideal time to reflect on course design and gather student feedback for future improvements.
Exporting a Course
To export a course in the Ultra format, click on the three dots on the right hand side of your course menu and select export course package. On clicking the button, Blackboard will generate a course package and email you when it is complete. From there, you can download the zip file and save it to your local device.
Archiving Your Course Content and Student Information
To archive a course, open the Administrator panel and select Courses. From there, select Backup Actions, and Archive Course. In the Source Course ID field, enter the course ID (normally your CRN) to search for the course.
Generating Course Reports
To generate a course report, click on the Analytics tab on your course homepage, where you will see the subtab Course Reports. On clicking on that tab, you can generate a course goal coverage or performance report.
