Ultra Gradebook
Setting up your gradebook
Within Blackboard Ultra, assignments, assessments, and graded content are automatically added to the gradebook on creation. To add an overall grade, you can set up an Overall Grade. On opening the Gradebook tab in your course, you will see a banner which reads “Set up the overall Grade”. Inside the window that appears, you can select a calculation type (either points, weighted, or a custom formula) and view which items will be included in the overall grade.

Grading student work
When students submit assignments, you will receive a notification within your Blackboard Stream. Additionally, within your course, you can open an assignment and select the submissions tab, which will allow you to view who has made submissions and start grading.

Extending an Assignment
Within the Analytics tab in your course, select the student by clicking on their name. Then, find the specific assignment or assessment you would like to extend. Click on the three buttons on the right hand side and select Add or Edit Exceptions. The first icon allows you to edit the due date, access, and attempts allowed, while the second icon will allow the student to be exempt from the assignment in totality.
