Setting Up Your Course
Setting up a course in Blackboard Ultra is user-friendly, with a clean interface and drag-and-drop functionality. Instructors can easily organize content into modules, add learning materials, and customize the course navigation. The Ultra Course View promotes a consistent structure that enhances the student experience and reduces confusion.
Reordering Items
Within Blackboard Ultra, to reorder items, you only need to hold your cursor over the item and drag and drop the item where you would like it to be.
Making a Course Available
To make a course available, open the Administrator Tools and search for your course within the Course Name box. Input your CRN and click the dropdown arrow next to your course (which appears when you hover over it). From the drop-down menu, you can select Make Available or Make Unavailable.
Uploading a Syllabus
To upload your syllabus, click on the plus icon located at the center of your homepage. If you have already added content, learning modules, or folders, the plus icon will be on top and below the content. Click the Upload button, from where you will be able to choose if students can view, view & download, or only download content you have uploaded.
Performing a Course Copy
To perform a course copy in Blackboard Ultra, click the three dots on the right hand side of your course screen. Within the drop-down menu, select Copy Items. At this point, ensure you are enrolled in the course you are copying from. From inside the Copy Items window, search for the course you intent to copy from using the CRN or Course Name. On the left hand side, next to your course name, is a checkbox which will allow you to copy the course in its entirety. If you prefer to choose specific content, you can click on the course itself and Ultra will allow you to select which individual or grouped items you would like to copy.
