Facts and Figures
This September, we celebrate a remarkable milestone—10 years of UTEP Online!
Just over a decade ago, a small but mighty team came together with a bold mission: to transform how UTEP delivers education and expand access to learners everywhere. What began as an ambitious idea has grown into educational opportunities that reach far beyond the El Paso del Norte region.
We had to learn how to tell the UTEP story to new audiences, guide prospective students through their decision to enroll, and support learners we might never meet in person. The journey hasn’t always been smooth. We’ve faced challenges, adapted, and grown stronger along the way. However, thanks to the dedication of UTEP staff—who built new systems and processes—and UTEP faculty—who designed and taught high-quality online courses—we’ve opened doors for former students to return and complete their degrees as well as welcomed new Miners from across the globe.
At UTEP Online, we believe that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Therefore, we take our responsibility to expand opportunities to achieve a UTEP education seriously, no matter where students live or what their responsibilities and schedules look like. As we look ahead to the next ten years, we stay committed to keeping student success at the core of every decision we make and everything we do.
As Dean, I am proud to celebrate this milestone—a decade of resilience, teamwork, and transformative impact. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Sincerely,
Beth L. Brunk, Ph.D.
