Financial Aid for Transfer Students
In addition to other federal and state grants, Texas resident students who transfer to UTEP within 12 months of earning an associate degree by a public junior college, state college, or technical institute, with a minimum 2.5 GPA and completing core curriculum, may qualify for a Texas Transfer Grant of up to $5,394 per semester.
To receive the grant, students must demonstrate financial need, register full-time, and be registered with Selective Service or exempt.
Transfer students who don’t qualify for the Texas Transfer Grant may still qualify for other types of financial aid and should apply by completing the FAFSA or TASFA.
