“Our network connects students, alumni, the business world, and the college to create meaningful opportunities,” says Claudia de la Rosa, President of the Hunt Business Alumni Network. “We aim to build strong communication between local business owners, community leaders, employers, and the University to help students prepare for their careers.” 

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders 
What role does the alumni network play in shaping leaders? 
“We’re passionate about empowering leaders by creating leadership opportunities within our network, from regional hub leaders to event organizers. We provide a platform for alumni to share expertise, knowledge, and career advice, helping each other succeed. We also encourage alumni to give back to the college and volunteer, inspiring the next generation of business leaders and ensuring the continued growth of the Hunt College of Business community.” 

Supporting Success Through Connections and Mentorship 
How do you envision the group contributing to the success of Hunt Business students and alumni? 
“We help students and alumni succeed by creating opportunities for professional growth and community support. Through events, workshops, and alumni-student interactions, we help students gain career insights and connect with experienced alumni.” 

Initiatives to Strengthen Alumni Engagement 
The Hunt Business Alumni Network has a lineup of initiatives designed to engage alumni and build a stronger, connected community in 2025. Here’s a look at some key initiatives: 

• Networking Mixers & Social Events – Regular mixers, dinners with guest speakers, and pop-up events in various cities. 

• Endowment Fund Creation – Establishing an endowment fund to support scholarships and ensure the continuity of the network. 

• Regional Hub Development – Expanding the network beyond El Paso with hubs in cities like Phoenix, Austin, and Dallas. 

• Signature Homecoming Event – A large-scale alumni celebration with networking, panels, and fundraising.
