Risk Management Academy Pilots 'Meet the Employer'
The Big Picture
The UTEP Risk Management Academy and Gamma Iota Sigma hosted its first “Meet the Employer” event in the WestStar Collaborative Atrium. The pilot program created an informal networking space for Academy students to connect with recruiters and alumni.
Why It Matters
Early career connections can be hard to make. This event gave students a casual, structured environment to ask questions, explore internships, and bridge classroom learning with professional experience.
“Creating connections between students and industry is essential. Alumni play a key role in that process, opening doors and showing students what’s possible,” said Paulina Ramos, Prudential Risk Management Academy Manager.
