Hunt Networking Mixer: A Career Expo Tradition

The Big Picture
The Hunt Networking Mixer returned September 17 at the El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center, hosted in partnership by the Woody L. Hunt College of Business and the UTEP Career Center. The event brought 75 students together with representatives from 17 organizations for an evening of career conversations and connections.
Now a tradition tied to Career Expo, the mixer gives students the chance to step beyond the crowded fair floor and engage with employers in a more personal setting.
Why It Matters
Early career connections can be hard to navigate. The mixer creates a structured but welcoming space where students can ask questions, practice their networking skills, and hear directly from employers about opportunities beyond the classroom.
“Events like the Hunt Networking Mixer show students how their education translates into opportunity. When employers show up, it sends a powerful signal: UTEP talent is in demand,” said Priscilla Nuñez, Program Manager for the Career Center.
