Real Estate Career Fair Connects Students with Employers
The Big Picture
Fifty-seven Hunt Business students met face-to-face with nine employers at this year’s Real Estate Career Fair, held at GECU’s Operations Center. Organized by UTEP’s Commercial Real Estate Program, the event offered students a direct look into one of the region’s fastest-growing career paths.
Why It Matters
Commercial real estate is built on relationships. This event helps students build confidence, test their interests, and see how classroom concepts translate into actual roles—from acquisitions and development to property management, finance, and brokerage.
What Happened
Employers spent the evening reviewing résumés, answering questions, and walking students through the skill sets and pathways within their organizations. Students left with stronger networks and a clearer sense of where they might fit in the industry.
Participating employers included:
- APA TX
- CCIM – Greater El Paso Chapter
- ClearView Realty
- Franklin Mountain Investments
- GECU
- GEPAR (Greater El Paso Association of Realtors)
- IREM El Paso Chapter 84
- MIMCO
- River Oaks Properties
Steven Gragg, UTEP Real Estate Faculty: “The UTEP Real Estate Career Fair is where we connect students with real estate employers. It gives them the chance to deliver their elevator pitch, present a polished résumé, and explore internships, part-time roles, and full-time jobs. Our program teaches the skills students will actually use in the industry after graduation.”
