The Lone Star Finance Symposium is an annual conference organized by finance departments of several universities located in Texas. The first Lone Star Finance Symposium was held in 2004 at Texas A&M University at College Station. Over the past 20 years, faculty from these departments take turns organizing and hosting the Symposium.

UTEP is hosting the 2024 Symposium for the first time.

Typically, junior faculty present papers and senior faculty serve as discussants.
