TSI or ESL Online

UTEP offers the opportunity to take the TSI or ESL test online. You can take the test from anywhere as long as your computer meets the requirements. Note: The online TSI or ESL is not available to take at UTEP.

Testing Procedures

The easy steps below provide you with the information necessary to schedule and take your live online proctored exam.

      1. Complete the Pre-Assessment Module (PAM) at https://adminapps.utep.edu/tsiPam or you can use the Pre-Assessment Activity here: https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students/free-tsia2-pre-assessment-and-practice-resources with this option please send your certificate of completion either by sending it to UTEP via the Accuplacer portal or a copy to distancetesting@utep.edu 

             *Important: Do Not Use Internet Explorer to take the PAM

2. Once you completed the PAM send an email to at distancetesting@utep.edu, stating you completed the PAM. 
   1. Pay the TSI 1st time attempt $25 test fee online with a credit card at  https://www.registerblast.com/utep/Exam/List .

3. Upon completion of payment, you will receive an email receipt. Please forward payment receipt to  distancetesting@utep.edu to issue you a testing voucher.
4. IMPORTANT: There will be another account that you will need to set up with Meazure Learning (ProctorU). A separate $28 dollar fee to complete the Virtual TSI Assessment proctoring services will need to be paid with a credit card at the time of the online scheduling process. You will set up your date and time for your proctoring with this approved company only.

If you have multiple voucher codes: you can only schedule one at a time, meaning you must schedule and complete the first exam before using a second voucher code.

Step 1:

Create a ProctorU account and download the Guardian Secure Proctoring Browser

Do you have any testing accommodations?

The ProctorU platform is fully ADA compliant. If you require special testing accommodations, I will need to let ProctorU know. Please work with me prior to your exam to make sure your accommodations are noted in their system.
