UTEP/Starwood Hotel Quick Reference Sheet

To receive the 20% discount employees must enroll in the UT System/Starwood Program.

Enrollment

1. Access the UT System/Starwood link noted below
   http://www.spg.com/
2. If you do not have a Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) number locate the "Enroll Now" section on the right side of the page.  Complete the requested information and click on "Submit".
   1. You will receive an email confirmation providing you with a unique Starwood Preferred Guest number
   2. Go to http://www.spg.com - Look for the Welcome area and click on Activate Account. Complete the profile information - your Starwood Preferred Number will automatically be linked to the UT System 20% discount program and our Starwood Executive Travel (SET) number which is 35902.
3. If you already have a Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) number you must link your account to the UT System SET number so that the discount applies.
   1. Look for and click on "Already Enrolled / Learn More" on the right side of the page.
   2. A pop-up box will appear - follow the directions to enter the UT System SET #35902 in your Starwood profile.  Once the SET number is entered, the discount will apply to all reservations made using your SPG number.

Reservation and Confirmation

1. To confirm Reservations Using The Starwood Website:
   1. 1. Before confirming reservations verify the applicable per-diem rate:

      2. Go to http://www.spg.com
      3. Under "Welcome" - Enter your Starwood Preferred Guest number OR User Name and Password
      4. Under "Find and Book" - enter the city/state and dates for arrival and departure
      5. From the list of available hotels that appear, choose the applicable hotel/rate and click on "book now."
      6. Determine the Bed Type you prefer - be sure to read Terms and Details for the cancellation policy
      7. Click on "Reserve"
      8. Complete the required information and verify general reservation information
      9. You will receive a confirmation at the end of the reservation process
2. To Confirm Reservations through a UT System Contract Travel Agency
   1. 1. For state funded travel - determine the allowed per-diem before confirming reservations

      2. Contact the travel agency and provide your Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) number and UT System SET # 35902
      3. The travel agency will confirm reservations based on your instructions
      4. NOTE: For guest and consultant reservations the travel agency will use the UT System SET # to confirm reservations with the applicable discount.  A credit card will be required to guarantee the room (obtain the traveler's personal credit card information prior to making the reservation).
3. To confirm A Reservation at The Sheraton Austin Hotel ($85 UT System Rate)
   1. Rate is applicable for staff, faculty, guest and consultant business travel
   2. Call 888-627-8349 and ask for the UT System rate of $85 OR
   3. Book online using the following directions:
      1. Go to http://www.sheraton.com/austin
      2. Click on the "Book Now" icon on the left side of the page
      3. Enter the dates of your stay.  Click on "Continue">
      4. On the Available Rooms page, look to the left column for "SET/Corporate Account #"
         Enter the Sheraton Austin/UT System SET Number 314386
      5. Click "Search" - Room availability will display - if the hotel is sold out, a message will appear on this screen
      6. Continue the reservation process.  Be sure to print the reservation confirmation before exiting the site
