Using AirPlay to project your Mac laptop's screen
AirPlay is usually available in UTEP's multimedia rooms where an Apple TV is installed (classrooms, conference rooms, etc.) and you can use it to project your Mac laptop's screen.

0. In the room where you wish to project, make sure the Apple TV input is selected and displaying. Note its name and continue to the next step:


1. Make sure your Mac laptop is connected to the utepsecure Wi-Fi. Locate and click on the Control Center icon on your Menu Bar to continue:
2. On the Control Center window, make sure both Wi-Fi (connected to utepsecure) and Bluetooth are turned on. Click on the "Screen Mirroring" button to continue:
3. At the "Screen Mirroring" window, you will be presented an alphabetical listing of AirPlay-capable displays. Click on the name of the desired display (from Step #0 above) to continue:
4. The AirPlay display will show a 4-digit Passcode for your Mac laptop. Please enter this code on the "AirPlay Device Code" window of your Mac laptop and click the OK button (or press the Return key) to begin the mirroring:
5. Once you have entered the code correctly, you Mac laptop's display will be mirrored on the AirPlay display. To stop projecting, go to Step 7. To change the display mode to Extended, click on the Screen Mirroring icon on your Menu Bar:
6. In the "Screen Mirroring" window, under the name of your display, select the "Use As Separate Display" option. The display will now be on Extended mode:
